Was born on August 15,1924 in Vluvale, Ontairo and passed away peacefully on May 7,2012 at Queensway Nursing Home in Hensell, Ontario. She will lovingly be remembered by her daughters Brenda of Hensall, Gwen (Paul) of Calgary Alberta. Her grandchildren; Charlie (Diana) Michael (Ryley) of Calgary, Alberta. Her great grandchildren; Kyle, Jarod, Jordyn, and Mason. Her sisters Shirly, Wilda, Velma (Bruce) and all her nieces and nephews of the Hay family. Leila was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents Wallace and Freda, daughter Marilyn, Grandson Eric and brother in laws Tony and Chester. Leila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She enjoyed knitting, shopping, having coffee with friends and spending time with family. We will miss her dearly but will never forget her.

Leilas funeral service will be held at Hensell United Church at 2pm with Pastor Ian O’Niell officiating. A viewing will be from 12:30- 2pm. There will be a reception to follow in church hall. Memorial donations can be made to the MS Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
