I was quite saddened to hear of Buzz’s passing. she was an incredible woman…..I moved to Huron Park from London in 1978 and lived 3 doors down from the Smith family…we were a very young family with a boy and a girl…..loved the warmer weather when we could sit out in front of someones house drinking coffee and sharing stories….I remember my daughter, Jessica, around 2 – 3 yrs old learned the song You are my Sunshine and we would be sitting with Buzz and Jess would get up on the picnic table and sing it to Grandma Buzz and they always shared a big hug when she was done….Buzz almost always was happy when we saw her…and always had advice if needed…..I mostly remember her driving her little, Ford Pinto, I think, station wagon everywhere, and never had her license…and I don’t know if she ever did get it….Whether it was bowling at the rec centre, usually with Pete & Paul as our pin setters, or bingo, or just having coffee, she was always a great lady to spend time with. She did a pretty good job raising that large family of hers. My biggest regret is that I didn’t keep in touch with her over the years…..She will truly be missed, but I’m sure Heaven is a better place with her in residence, and as long as she is kept in your hearts, she will never be far from you.

Dave, Denise, Nick and Eric…along with the entire Smith Family,
I have had the priviledge of knowing Grandma Buzz all my life growing up with many grand kids that she had. And then, having her baby boy meet and marry my sister, she was always the most amazing lady. Like many have said, it didn’t matter who you were, if you were friends with her family..you were part of her too! My kids have grown to know and love Grandma Buzz just like she was their own..the many freezies, visits, halloween candy and general hellos..she was a huge part of our lives!
Although there is no right words to say..Our heart breaks with you and we send all the love your way! Cherish the memories, relive them over and over and let her spirit carry you through the coming days, weeks and months.
Hugs
Tammy, Scott, Chloe and Aiden Harris❤️

To the Entire Smith Family– Losing a parent is one of the most difficult things we have to do in our life time. I know how close you all were to your Mom, and that bond that you all had will be everlasting. She had such a huge influence on your lives, and the lives of so many others. When you lose a parent,, we seem to feel like we have lost our strength, and one of the strongest supporters in our lives. Just remember, that they way you all are, is because Buzzy helped mold you that way. Each one of you, has some of your Mom in you,, and you have most likely passed that on to your own children. So what a great legacy to your Mom,, to know she is living still, through every one of you that inherited any of the qualities that made Buzzy so remarkable and memorable. Hugs to you all as you work through this sad process of grieving for your Mom,, for a life that was so well lived and for a woman who was so well loved!!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Buzz was an amazing, loving and spunky woman. She always made you feel welcome and would be whatever you needed from her at the time; Friend, Partner In Mischief, Mother, or Grandmother. She had no problem telling you how it was, what you needed to hear, or even giving you a kick in the butt if that’s what you needed. From Bowling to camping, parties or Bingo if Buzz was there you could be sure you would have a good time. She will be missed and my heart aches for each one of you. Hang on to your beautiful memories, share them to keep Buzz’s spirit alive. Hugs and Prayers for Peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Such sad news. She always made you feel welcome and you were a part of the family whenever you stopped in. I visited a few times, when you lived in Huron Park, I always felt welcomed. Visiting with her, at the many sporting events and celebrations that her family were actively involved in, over the years she would carry on a conversation like you seen her yesterday.
