Suddenly after a brief illness, at home with his spouse Lucy by his side, Friday, January 4, 2019 of Bayfield at the age of 57. Predeceased by his parents Edwin (1995) and Margaret (December, 2018). Survived by his sister Beverly Kropac (David) of Niagara Falls, and brothers Robert (Bernadette) of Cambridge and Michael of Bayfield. Fondly remembered by his four nieces, one nephew, many extended family members, friends and neighbours. Born in Toronto, he moved to Bayfield in 1976. He attended Central Huron Secondary School and Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Science, achieving his automotive, truck, trailer and coach technical certificates. Employed by area firms Herb eventually achieved the status of self employment. Herb will be remembered for his varied community volunteerism, and event taking on the role of Santa Claus during Christmas celebrations.
Cremation has taken place. Haskett Funeral Home, ZURICH entrusted with arrangements (519-236-4365). A private family interment to follow at Smithville United Church Cemetery at a later date.
