I am saddened to hear that Norm’s earthly journey has ended. He won many battles: but the war is over and he is at peace. My memories go back to Exeter Legion and Clarence Petrie dances. Then the birth of family. Norm spoke to everyone and had a few tales to relay. A Centralia icon, to be remembered, for sure.

For all the years in and out I’ve spent in Huron Park and Centralia , Norm has been intertwined in my memories. Somehow he has always been connected to my family in one way or another. In recent years his daily walks/drives by my parents house ….sometimes just a wave, sometimes a quick chat and often enough a sit and a laugh , these will be dearly missed. Your quick wit ,bright personality and big heart will be forever missed. Sending love from my family to kay and their families. Xo

Dear Tripp Family , I am sorry to read of Norm’s passing. Many years ago when Norm had the gas bar on #4 , I would spend some time with him on Saturday afternoons , yes we had a few beers but we had the greatest fun talking and joking with everyone. Norm loved that , a fun loving personality. In the last few years I would see Norm and he would tell me about his battle. He showed determination and strength , he was amazing . Everyone that knew Norm will miss him.

Kay, and the entire family,, I am so sorry to read about Norm. He did indeed put up a fight, for so many years, battling one thing after another. Heaven has gained another “comedian”, as that is how I remember Norm. I never saw him without him having a wise crack, or something smart ass to say. I always walked away from him laughing, and that is what made him so endearing., and how I will always remember him. You are all going to miss him a little,, a “little” to much, a “little” to often, and a “little” more each day. Hugs to you all, my sympathy goes out to each and everyone of you.
