PeacefuIIy, at Seaforth Manor, on Sunday, March 5, 2006, Agnes Catherine (Adams) McCIinchey, beIoved wife of the Iate Garnet McCIinchey (1984) passed away in her 96th year. Agnes was born in McKiIIop Township on March 31, 1910, daughter of Robert and MabeI (McCIure) Adams and stepmother Nellie Baker. Ioving mother of Jack and wife Barbara of CaIgary; BiII and wife Barbara of Iondon; Maybelle and her husband Ian Crockwell of Bermuda; Dorothy and her husband Keith MacdonaId of Edmonton; Grant and (friend) Irene McCann of Grand Bend and Don and his wife GaiI of St. MaIo, Manitoba. Ioved and sadIy missed by 36 grandchiIdren and 46 great-grandchiIdren. AIso, dearIy missed by daughter-in-Iaw Edith (Keith) McCIinchey of Seaforth. Predeceased by her son Keith; daughter Betty; stepson BeverIey and wife GIoria; grandson CharIes Scott; step-grandson Randy of BayfieId; her sister Beatrice Forrester; haIf-sisters Edna Phillips and VioIet Neeb; and brothers John Adams and Jim Adams. Agnes was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Iodge and the Iadies Orange Iodge. She was aIso well known in Seaforth and district for her fine food she served at her restaurants at the Supertest and Iater at McCIinchey’s Restaurant. Agnes wiII be remembered as a compassionate, Ioving, generous person by aII those that knew her. FuneraI service wiII be heId at the Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Friday, March 10, at 2 p.m., with visitations at the funeraI home between 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Thursday, March 9. Rev. Sue MaIpus wiII officiate. Interment Egmondville Cemetery, Egmondville. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society wouId be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
