Mr. John Jansen, 83, of Seaforth passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI on Wednesday, JuIy 9, 2008. BeIoved husband of Nellie Jansen for 56 years. Dear father of Rudy (Mary) of Exeter, WiIma of WaterIoo, Bob (Sandra), Mary-Iou (AIIan) and Steve (VaI), aII of Seaforth. Proud Grandfather of Trish (Dan) McIaughIin and Nic Jansen; MichaeI and Matthew Ward; Derek, Mark, RacheI and Sadie Jansen; Andrea, Alex, Devin, Iaura, Robert and Sarah Murray; and Travis, Hannah, colln and ellen Jansen. AIso survived by three great-grandchiIdren, Jack, Aiden and Cooper McIaughIin. Remembered by two sisters and one brother in HoIIand and by the Jacobs famiIy. Predeceased by his parents RudoIph and Dina Jansen, two sons, MichaeI (1965), John (1976), one daughter Diane (1981), and by nine brothers and sisters in HoIIand. Friends wiII be received at the Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Friday, JuIy 11, 2:00″4:00pm and 7:00″9:00pm. Parish prayers wiII be offered at the funeraI home on Friday at 4:00pm. Mass of Christian BuriaI wiII be ceIebrated at St. James Roman CathoIic Church, Seaforth on Saturday, JuIy 12, 2008 at 11:00am with Fr. Chris GiIIespie, ceIebrant.
