As I sit here tonight I am still in shock that Ross is gone. Joyce, Andrea, Brad, Brent, Cheryl, Pat, Brooke and Tyler you were all so blessed to have Ross in your lives. He always had a funny joke to tell or a story to share. Involved in so many different community events, I think he belonged to just about every service group in Seaforth and surrounding area yet he still found time to stop and chat, ask how my family was doing etc. I will miss delivering flowers and Ross being dressed for a service and his shirt untucked. I am so sorry for your loss and over the past couple days with everyone dropping off food, flowers and rememberances you can see how much you are all loved by the community. So if you ever need something just ask we are all here to lend a hand, shoulder or a hug whatever you need ! Thinking of you all

Joyce and family,
I was shocked to receive notification from Bob Amos today of the death of Ross. As a classmate at the Canadian School of Embalming I appreciated Ross&&single&& wit and commentary on life both on and off the U.of T. campus. Apart from a chance meeting at the Blythe Festival several years ago, we saw each other only at continuing education every five years. In his calling of Funeral Director Ross made a positive impact on thousands of lives. He will be missed. I was pleased to read that Mary Fletcher will be conducting the funeral service. Mary came from our church, Central United in Sarnia. We know her as a warm and compassionate person so have confidence in her ability to assist your family at this difficult time. Regrettably we will be unable to attend visitation or the funeral as Cheryl and I are in Florida. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you begin your journey through grief.

Our sincere sympathies to you all at this devastating time. You never expect the unexpected. I remember well the day my dad died. Ross was a rock for us in helping us through our darkest hours. The entire town and indeed much of the region are here now to serve you in your darkest hours. Your family has assisted literally thousands through some of the most intimate and trying of issues and Ross was always the consummate gentleman. He didn&&single&&t feel it was his job, but is duty through his vocation to help people, not only through the home, but through the various charities and community work that he so willingly gave hundreds of hours of his time. Joyce and Family – Char and I were totally shocked to hear of this tragic news! Thankfully, I had a long conversation with Ross just before we left for Arizona, and he seemed to be in fine form! What a loss for you and your family! I have never met a more honest, genuine character than Ross, and he was a good, long-term friend! I will miss his hearty laugh, and his take-no-prisoners attitude. What a refreshing breath of fresh air in a world of politically correct nonsense! I will long remember his true dedication to his family which always came first, and to his client families that he felt so privileged to serve. Take care! CHARLANNE AND KENT

Joyce and family – We are so sorry to hear of your loss and hope that your memories of your life together will help to sustain you. Ross – as so many others have said – had a wonderful sense of humour and yet when he looked after services for our loved ones, he was one of the most professional men you would ever want to handle the service. He will be missed by the community as he and Joyce have done so much to make Seaforth a great place to live. Also to Ruth Townsend we extend our sympathies as I know you will so miss him as well.
