Peacefully at The Village of Glendale Crossing, London with family by her side, on Saturday, December 7, 2019, formerly of Exeter, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Walkom (1978). Cherished mom of Kathryn Walkom and Chauncey Durkin of Toronto, and Carolyn Walkom and Robert Newhook of London. Proud and adored grandma of Mackenzie McKim. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Helen Dalby of Kingston, Iva Bell of Stratford, and Nelson Walkom of London. Evelyn will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Margaret Beardshaw, Harold Albright, Ruby Turner, and David Albright.
Evelyn and Arthur spent many years in the Exeter area, before Evelyn moved to London. She was so proud of her family and their accomplishments. Her smile and love will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at The Village of Glendale Crossing, in particular the Pond Mills group for all of their care and compassion shown to Evelyn during her stay.
At Evelyn’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Private family interment has taken place at the Exeter Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation and Celebrations (519-963-4003)
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of London-Middlesex would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be forwarded through https://www.cremationandcelebrations.com/walkom-evelyn-marie-albright-of-london-formerly-of-exeter/

Carolyn, it has been a tough year for both of us, with our mothers both passing within months of each other.
I personally never met your mom, but if she was like you and/or your sister “Auntie Kate” then I have missed out on knowing a beautiful person.
Cherish your memories of your mom and she will always be with you, at least in your heart.
May she rest in peace.
Catie
Dear Sisters Kathy & Carolyn
You two have been the tightest bond of Sisterhood of any 2 girls I know.
Your Mom was blessed with daughters that loved each other, as much as she loved you both. Evelyn spent so much time with Mackenzie in her childhood, and through the years was a Lucky Grandma that knew her family.
My heart goes out to you all.
Many condolences from the Clark & Fulop family

Corky and Kathy, I would like to express my deepest sympathy in the passing of your mom!. I have many memories of the house in Exeter. Most of the time your mom was not there when we had little parties. You know what I mean Corky! And you had a little BD party for me at your house when your mom was working, during spare time at SHDHS. All moms are SPECIAL! Remember good times. My thought are with you and the family. Love Cate

Wonderful memories of your Father, Art, and your Mother, Evelyn.
She had to be a very strong woman to manage those many years without your Dad.
I loved her smile and her quiet manner.
May good memories sustain you in the days ahead.
Hugs and prayers – Dianne Walkom
