Margaret Mary McMillan (nee Grant) passed away peacefully in her home, on Monday September 21, 2020, surrounded by family and beloved friends. Margaret was in her 70th year. She will be dearly missed by her husband Philip McMillan, son Grant McMillan and daughter Vanessa Kelly (David Kelly). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Logan, Owen and Amelia. Loved by her brother Michael (Nikki, predeceased), her sister in-law Pamela Grant and favourite cousin Wilfred (Liisa) Steer. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret is welcomed home by her parents James & Catherine Grant and her brothers Wilfred (Lietta), Brian & Paul Grant (all predeceased). Margaret was adored by several wonderful friends and colleagues. Margaret was most known for her warm smile, her gardens and for the compassionate nursing care she provided at the Clinton Hospital, where she worked for nearly 30 years.
The family would like to thank many friends and neighbours for their thoughtful gestures and support over the last few months. Margaret’s journey home was peaceful because of your compassion. There are no words to express our gratitude.
A private family funeral mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, Seaforth on Tuesday, September 29th at 11 AM. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live by visiting https://www.facebook.com/
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be most appreciated.
Those that have been invited to join the Mass must register by clicking below.

Philip, l am shocked and so saddened to hear of Margaret’s passing. I had been trying to locate Margaret for some time now but to no avail. Coincidentally l was at a wedding on Saturday in the company of the Alilovic family from Clinton. It was through them that l learned of her passing. So many years have gone by since we were last together but l thought of you and Margaret often and all the memories that were made during our youth. Margaret and l had a lot of good times and many laughs that l will cherish forever.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your children always.

Margaret was a wonderful lady… I am so proud to have known her. As her roommate for several weeks while having radiation treatments, we shared many things together. She was so proud of all her family .. and fought so hard to stay with them. It is a blessing that her suffering is over but very sad she had to be taken so soon!
I will truly miss her!
