Passed away at Kensington Village, London with his family by his side, on Sunday, May 16, 2021 of London at the age of 76. Cherished husband of Cathy (Mathers) Marshall for over 52 years. Proud father of Melissa Marshall, and Candace Marshall. Adored papa of Jade. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sandra and Gary Johnston, Cheryl Marshall, Judy Mathers, and Mary Poulin. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Velma (Weir) Marshall.
Aside from his family, Gary’s proudest possession was his red Ford Econoline pickup truck. He, Cathy, and Melissa took the truck to many car shows and events over the years. This truck was his dad’s last work truck and we know Wilfred would be proud for restoring the truck and keeping it in such immaculate condition. In his spare time, Gary also enjoyed stock car racing, camping, snowmobiling and spending time with his family and friends. He loved going with his daughter Melissa to the London Knights games, and London Majors games.
A private family memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 20th at 11 AM. Cremation with interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.

I extend my condolences to Gary’s wife and children and to the Marshall Family. We grew up on the 16th Concession together, and attended the old one room school…SS 3&10. I think Gary attended a few of the Reunions that Doug Hughes organized several years ago. May all your happy memories together eventually replace the sadness you are feeling at his passing. May he Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Gary’s passing. I worked as a landscaper with Gary for the better part of ten years. Gary was a hard worker and always available to lend a helping hand. He worked circles around the younger guys – myself included. I have fond memories of hitching a ride to and from work with Gary in his cool 1970s green van for years and the snacks that Cathy would always offer me when i showed up on their doorstep.
My condolences,
Anthony

Sending you lots of love and may you cherish those great memories!
Your family was my second family for many years living in the apartment upstairs. All of you meant the world to me and I think you were the best landlords I could have had and I learned from your family. One comical memory was having dinner with you and then going over to Norm and Hilda’s to bug them.
