Fayleen Yvonne Oliver, beloved wife and mother, passed away on May 29, 2021 at age 86.
Fayleen was born January 11, 1935 to Calcean and Gladys Wing of Cadillac, Michigan. She married Raymond Oliver on July 13, 1969, and together they raised three sons, Timothy, Philip and Stephen.
While Fayleen spent most of her life confined to a wheelchair, she did not allow this to hamper her, joining her family for camping trips, snow tubing and many other adventures. She taught a variety of grade levels at Bible Missionary Academy in Wayne, Michigan, served for many years as the secretary and treasurer of the Michigan, Wisconsin and Ontario District of the Bible Missionary Church, and used her organizational gifts in numerous other ways, such as developing, printing and sending children’s materials to missionaries. Her gracious presence, compassionate spirit and sense of humor enriched the lives of all who knew her. She was committed to her church and dedicated to her family, but most of all she was wholeheartedly devoted to Jesus Christ.
Fayleen was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and her sister Marcella, and survived by her three sons: Timothy Oliver of Hensall, ON, Philip (Arlinda) Oliver of Boise ID and their children, Bradley, Alicia, Katie, Grace and Jonathan, and Stephen (Angela) Oliver of Troy MO and their children, Cameron, Adrianna and William; three sisters: Joyce Randolph of Marion, IN, Beverly Wing of Marion, IN, and Olivia Stitt of Fremont, MI; one brother: Dale Wing of Elkhart, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sincere sympathy at the loss of a sweet Christian lady. I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile in spite of her physical challenges. She served the Lord faithfully and I know she will be missed in Vanastra.

To Tim, Phillip and Steven
Fayleen was one of my most favorite clients while I was employed with onecare. She was always waiting in her wheelchair with a big smile on her face. We had many conversations each week about her family, her friends , her health and her faith. I am sorry that Covid 19 kept a lot of her family from visiting for over a year. My wish is that tomatoes grow in abundance in heaven so my friend can feast on her favorite fried green tomatoes. R.I.P. Fayleen.
