Peacefully at Wildwood Care Centre, St. Marys on Saturday, November 13, 2021 of Granton at the age of 74. Loving husband of Gloria (McRoberts) Riddell for over 50 years. Proud dad of Tyler and Tabitha Riddell of London, and Katie and Bernie Avery of Lucan and father-in-law of Leanne Riddell. Adored grandpa of Carter, and Deacon Riddell; Hank, and Thomas Avery. Dear son-in-law of Anne McRoberts of London. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jean Riddell of Thunder Bay, Ron and Jeanette Riddell of Lucan, Rick and Karen Riddell of Alberta, Walter and Julie Riddell of Granton, Carol and Bill Richardson of London, Bob and Deb McRoberts of Lindsay, Paul and Jean McRoberts of Welburn, Glenn and Cathy McRoberts of Zurich, and Gary and Debbie McRoberts of London. Wilf will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Florence (Eedy) Riddell, his brother Kenneth, and father-in-law Earl McRoberts.
Wilf was involved with Innovative Farmers of Ontario, Granton United Church, Granton Cemetery, Granton Masonic Lodge and was on the board of directors for Blanshard Municipal Telephone (Quadro) for many years. Wilf was very proud of his farm in Granton, he was one of the first farmers in Biddulph Township to introduce no-till farming. His top priority in life was dedicating his love and energy to his family, including his four legged companions.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 PM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the visitation, please click the “Register Now” below, to register

i will always cherish the time spent with my “big brother”. Wilf and Gloria’s was my go to place when I came back to see family and friends. I respected my brothers work ethic, his knowledge and wisdom, his love of farming and the land. I respected his desire to make a meaningful contribution to his community in many lasting ways.
Most of all I saw (and experienced) how he loved and cared for all his family through good and bad, in a true partnership with Gloria. Wilf also knew how to have a good time and enjoy life, even keeping his signature whistle and great laugh well into his illness.
