Peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 of Seaforth, at the age of 72. Loving wife of John Marshall for over 53 years. Proud Mom of Tammy and Colin Crombie, and Robert Marshall and Sherry Tjoelker. Adored Gma of Matthew, Noelle, Cameron, Kaleigh, and Meghan. Fondly remembered by many siblings, nieces, nephews and the Marshall family. Predeceased by her parents Garnet Lester and Lillian Grace (Collins) Hicks and her parents-in-law George and Marjorie Anne (Smith) Marshall.
Jane loved to spend time with her family and friends, always welcoming those who came through her door with a warm smile. She was a very proud Mom and Gma, always doting over her family. Jane’s seat at the card table will be missed by all that had a chance to play with her. All of the jokes, laughs and many stories will forever be reminisced by long time family friends, Marni and Harold Van Aaken and their daughters; Amanda, Jessica, and Adrienne.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at the Van Aaken family farm, 37869 Mill Road, BAYFIELD on Saturday, July 9th at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to SE Health or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

To the grandma that loved me when she didn’t have to, I just want to say thank you. It’s very hard to have to try to learn someone and not having a clue how to but you did and I thank you for that. Meghan and I will never forget swimming at your home for the countless summers and I will never forget how beautiful you looked at Dad and Tammy’s wedding. You were a very special person and are loved by many. I know your loving husband John will miss you dearly and daily as well as your children and grandchildren. I know we weren’t blood but thank you for treating as such. Sending all the love up to heaven. We are going to miss you. Love always, Kaleigh xoxo

Mrs Jane will be missed by so many. The twins and Jackson absolutely adored her and hanging with her when her and Mr John would come to Ky and visit. Matt and I had the pleasure of playing cards and drinking margaritas with her and Mr John a few times. Until we meet again Ms Jane I will always drink a margarita or two for you. Thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us. We will continue to take care of them. We love and miss you

Dear John, Tammy, Robert and family,
It will be so hard to not say John and Jane. You were always a pair, always together, always loving to one another.
Jane was a great listener, stubborn, sympathetic, funny as hell, and a great Aunt, who loved me very much.
She was a great Mom, great grandmother, sister and friend, hard worker, determined lady. She enjoyed a good laugh, a glass of wine and loved watching tv food shows, The Voice, being with friends and family. If you look at her Facebook, you will see lots of funny jokes and food recipes. She was a great cook too.
I will miss our FaceTime videos, they always cheered me up.
John, Jane loved you tremendously .
Tammy and Robert your Mom loved you and always kept us up to date on how you were doing and she loved to brag about the grandkids.
Jane had a good life, great family, great friends. I will miss her dearly.💖

“ The fabric of friendship is a “patchwork of love”
Like a quilt each stitch loops one life to another in perfect harmony
We are wrapped closely together by memories, ”the best friend is an old friend.” I grew up with
”Janey” so I knew her well.
Mike and I have had the privilege of having her as our sister-in-law for over 50 years through good times and bad. No matter what Jane had to cope with, she was always cheerful, optimistic, and fun. We will miss you, Jane, and are richer for having known you.
Namaste, rest in peace. With love and blessings to John and Family from Mike and Sheryl, Susan and Paul. Eric and Carolyn, Chris and Jess, Ethan and Chase
