Peacefully at Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 of Mitchell, formerly Cromarty, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Helen Marie (Pryce) Parsons for over 35 years. Proud father of Larry and Myra Parsons, Paul and Lori Parsons, and Tracey and Rick Weiershauser. Adored grandpa of Joe Parsons (Delaney), Harry Parsons; Steve Parsons (Helene), Scott Parsons, Jason Parsons (Tianna), Luke Parsons (Paige); and Samantha Weiershauser. Great-grandpa of Sam Parsons, Adriel Parsons, and Lily Parsons. Dear brother-in-law of Beth Pryce. Predeceased by his parents William and Almeda (Finkbeiner) Parsons.
Bob grew up on a farm in Hibbert Township (Cromarty). He purchased the farm beside his parents and started life on his own farm. He married the love of his life Helen in 1961, they had 3 children and started a family together. Eventually they took over his parents farm and farmed the land while raising beef cattle and pigs. He enjoyed showing his cattle in Toronto at the Queen’s Fair. In 1972, he obtained his pilots license and took on the roadways in the sky. In his 40’s he began trucking, known as “Milkshake” to his trucking friends. When Bob retired in his 60’s he enjoyed woodworking, wood carving and painting taking many courses to improve his art. Bob received his lifetime membership of the lodge (Odd Fellows). He will be missed for his sense of humour and his ability to never complain!
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, SEAFORTH on Sunday afternoon from 2 – 4 PM. Registration is required and appreciated. To register, please click “Register Now” below.

Larry, Paul, Tracy and family. I want to extend my sincere condolences to you all. Bob holds a very special place in my heart. It was a privilege to look after him at Anfield. We shared many laughs and stories. He had some hilarious farming stories, including an elusive duck and some travelling Tom cats. He was always on the winning end of crokinole and euchre, cleaned up our leftovers, and made new residents feel welcome. I remember through covid just going and talking to him at the hospital because I missed him at the hospital and I was one of the few visitors allowed. I miss his grinning face every day, his shirt up and unevenly tanned legs out on the deck. I know he is not far away, and saw a blue jay shortly finding out he passed. Goodbye Bob! You were one of a kind.

My Condolences to the whole family, I finally remember the “milkshake” , as I spent many and night or weekend in the home of the Parsons family. Mr. Parsons to me as a teen girl will be fondly remembered as a man with a beautiful smile and a beautiful heart. Loved by many missed by more. May you all find happiness in the memories you cherish. Tracey I will never forget how proud he was the day he walked you down the isle. Such joy in his eyes and heart.
