1931 – 2022
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Patricia Grace. Patricia passed away peacefully at the Village of Glendale Crossing on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Grace (2014). Dear sister of Cecelia Connolly of London and John Toohey of Kingston. She is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Laura (Whelihan) Toohey, brother, Paul Toohey (2019) and sister-in-law Bev Toohey (2017).
Patricia and Joe owned and maintained a beautiful farm on Highway 23, always welcoming family and friends. They even hosted strangers as houseguests during snowstorms. Their many nieces and nephews enjoyed frequent visits, learning opportunities about a vibrant working farm, and amazingly delicious meals. While farming, Patricia also taught grade school in London for many years.
Cherished sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, Patricia will be missed by her many family and friends. Her sweet spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and generosity will be remembered with fondness.
A private family Funeral Mass was held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Lucan with Father Steve Wlusek presiding. Interment St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Lucan.
Donations to Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners or the Ailsa Craig Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.

Only read of Pat’s passing today, Nov. 15, otherwise would have been at her funeral. She and Joe were wonderful neighbours in Vintage Green. Kind, caring and hospitable. Especially thinking of her brother John. May the Lord grant you peace.

I have great memories spending time next door after school with Aunt Patricia sometimes helping with home work and often sharing amazing home baked goodies.

To the Grace and Toohey Families
My sincere condolences on the passing of Mrs Grace, always that name to all of us at SS#4.
She encouraged us to be good students inspiring us to strive to the best of our ability. She and Joe bought my great aunt’s farm Theresa Heenan and made it a show place and were successful farmers. A beautiful woman with the angels now!

To the Toohey and Grace Families:
Sorry to read of Patricia’s passing. I recall visiting Joe and Pat at the farm and later when they lived in Ilderton. Pat had a wonderful smile and was a great host. She was one of my first teachers at SS#4 one room school and always encouraged us to do well. I extend my deepest sympathy.

Dear Grace and Toohey Families ,
My sincere condolences on the passing of our dear Patricia. She was a friend to all with her lovely smile. A person who always thought of others, she was eager to help where ever she was needed. We were proud to have Joe and Patricia as one of the earliest owners in Vintage Green.

Mrs. Grace, is what I had called her when she was my teacher and neighbour. I believe that I was her special student but that was probably because she made everyone in that one room school house feel that way, as long as you were behaving.
To all her relatives, Sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my condolences to this soft spoken lady.

Dear Toohey and Grace Families:
My sincere condolence goes out to all her family and relatives. She was a wonderful lady in every way possible. She always had a smile on her face and willing to help whenever she was asked or needed. Pat and Joe were the best neighbours and friends we could have asked for. Ken and I had many great games of cards with them while living on the farm and in the years to follow. So sorry for your loss.
