On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Michael James Kelly of Granton, at the age of 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at home on the farm. Beloved husband of the late Joan (Firth) Kelly for 51 years. Cherished father of Bill and Tammy Kelly, Pat Kelly, and Lee-Anne and Pierre Arsenault. Proud grandpa of Jessica, Ashley; Logan, and Juliette. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mary Jolley, Catherine and Jim Dandy, Betty and Phil Giles, Verla Kelly, and Betty McColough. Predeceased by his parents Doris (White) and Peter James Kelly and his siblings, Bridget, Joe, John, and brother-in-law Joe Jolley. Fondly remembered by the Firth family and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a gentle giant who worked hard his whole life. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. Most importantly, he provided unconditional love and guidance for his family. He cared for his wife Joan for many years and has now left his family’s side, carrying their love with him to be reunited with her in Heaven. No more suffering, only joy as he takes his seat at the Lord’s table.

Condolences to you all. Big Mikey was a kind and gentle soul. It was always evident that Mike’s love for his family and his faith was steadfast.
I think all of the neighbours would agree that his work ethic was an inspiration; Mike never shied away from physical labour and would be seen out by the barn or shed working at all hours.
My deepest sympathies on the passing of a great man and neighbour.
