Passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Irene (de Boer) Nicholson for 49 years. Cherished father of Erin Nicholson, Ryan Nicholson and Karen, and Craig and Kelly Nicholson. Adored grandfather of Dawson. Dear brother of Donna and Tony Johnstone, Tom and Kathy Nicholson, Lorraine and Jim Clark, Rae and Cathy Nicholson, Mary Ann and Jay Passmore, and Alan Nicholson and brother-in-law of Jim and Judi de Boer, Cecil de Boer, Don and Sheri de Boer, and Ed de Boer. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and special extended family Trenna, Chris, and Justin. Predeceased by his brother Larry Nicholson, brother-in-law Barry de Boer, sister-in-law Lori de Boer, parents Chester and Verna (MacDonald) Nicholson and parents-in-law John and Jetske (Lantinga) de Boer.
Ron’s sense of humour will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, SEAFORTH on Tuesday, May 16th from 6 – 8 PM. Registration is appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below, to register. The funeral service will be held the following day at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 17th at 2 PM with visitation starting at 1 PM. No registration is required for the day of service. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or the First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
