September 6, 1944-August 4, 2023
Passed away peacefully with family at her side at Parkwood Hospital in London on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Wayne Ward (2013). Loving mother of Wanda (Gord) Taylor of Clinton, Cathy (Ken) Rollinson of Granton, Jim Ward of Staffa and John (Leslie) Ward of Thamesford. Cherished grandmother of Jordan (Coco), Dylan, Keegan (Cassie), Braydon, Connor, Alana, Montanna, Hailey and Shayla. Great-grandmother of Mila and Anders. Survived by her sisters Valerie Degaust, Pamela (Donald) Short, and Joyce (Ralph) Pettit. Predeceased by her father Frank Hounsell, mother Elsie (nee Brace) Hounsell, and her brothers Brian Hounsell and Murray Hounsell.
Margaret was a very loving mother and a tower of strength for her family. She was an incredibly hard worker and was always there eagerly offering help with any building projects. Her Christian faith was very important to her and she always forgave quickly and never held a grudge. Her joyful personality and incredibly genuine and loving heart will be very much missed by anyone who knew her.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a future date. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements. Special thanks to Parkwood Institute in London for the care, compassion and love she received from all the staff there.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Alzheimer Society in Margaret’s memory.
“You will forever be in our hearts, minds and dreams dear mother. This world was not your home, you were just passing through. Your treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckoned you from Heaven’s open door. You will live eternally up in Glory Land now. Until we meet again on those beautiful shores.”

Sincerely sorry for your loss. may you find a measure of comfort in knowing your mother’s love is never-ending. For her love forever remains in the memories you’ve made with her over the years. May those memories bring smiles to your faces and may God’s promises comfort you too. Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:29

Wanda and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I remember your Mom and Dad well from when they lived in Londesboro. They were always so friendly and chatty when I would walk by them on the street. I have a flower stand outside that your Dad made and I bought before they left Londesboro.
Cherish your memories as they will help you through this sad chapter of life.
Sincerely,
Helen Lyons
