I just learned of Sherri’s too-soon passing – I am so saddened and sorry to hear of this. My deepest condolences to her family and dear friends.
I had the privilege of working with Sherri at Bluewater for a number of years, and had run into her a couple times since then. I will always remember her ready smile, warmth, and kindness. She took a genuine interest in people, and made one feel that way. Sherri was a gentle and compassionate soul, beautiful both inside and out. I feel so grateful for having known her.

I had the good fortune of being placed with Sherri in residence, first year university and so a 30 year friendship began. In fact we had just celebrated in September. Sherri was one of my best friends and I cherished our time together as did my family. Our home is filled with such great memories with Sherri, both tangible (so many heartfelt gifts were sent, given, made for us) and in our heart and minds. I wish we could have celebrated our 50th bdays and 30 year friendship with another trip, but am grateful for our 25th trip to Antigua. What an amazing time that was.
Emma, Owen, Susan, Pete, Mary Helen and Jack, once again, our deepest condolences to you all. Your mom, sister and daughter was one of a kind and left a huge impact on each one of our lives. We are all devastated and share in your grief. With love, Tina, Kevin, Jaiden and Quinton

I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Though Sherri and I had lost touch after elementary school, she was a huge part of my childhood and I remember many slumber parties and birthday parties where she played an integral role. Looking back, I think of Sherri as the leader of our childhood friends group. She was responsible and fun and always kind. I am honoured that I got to know her and got to enjoy being her friend, and I am sorry we didn’t maintain contact after going our different ways in high school and beyond, but I know how treasured she was. My deepest condolences to you all.

Until I saw the photo on this page, I wouldn’t have been able to pick Sherri out of a lineup. Regardless, the news of her death upset me greatly.
Beginning in November 2020 and continuing through November 2021, I experienced a number of mental health crises that were incredibly difficult to navigate. Sherri’s kindness, compassion, care, and genuine consideration was more important to me than she knew.
Sherri was diligent with checking in and ensuring a back-to-work plan was created that satisfied my unique health needs.
I wish I had told her the impact she had while I could. I hope her family will accept my sincerest thanks on her behalf.

Dear Emma, Owen, Mary Helen & Jack, Susan & Pete , the Robert McLachlan and Buchannan Clans,
We cannot imagine your pain. Sending heartfelt condolences to each one of you. Sherri sure left a legacy in her fine example, alone. It was shocking to learn of Sherri’s passing, yet this sweet memory has emerged….a very young Sherri sitting at the piano, Jim Jean at her side, both belting out the lyrics, as she played “The Purple People Eater” . <3 We have great memories of the wonderful child & woman she was and the amazing family who raised her. Wishing you all peace , healing and hugs galore to Emma & Owen. <3 We are so very sorry for your great loss. <3

Dear, Emma, Owen, Jack, Mary-Helen, Suz and Pete.
There are simply no words to express how very sorry I am for your loss. Your Mom/Daughter/Sister/Sister in law was quite simply an ‘Angel on Earth’. She guided me gently through a couple of difficult ‘life’ events that I am not sure how I would have survived with out her compassion and support. She changed my thinking for the better on many topics. She was kind, caring, compassionate, empathetic, smart, funny, and joyful. She was a gem and I will miss hearing from her. I am grateful that she and I got together a couple of times after my retirement and post pandemic. She was a trusted confidant and friend. I will treasure forever the blue crocheted blanket she gave me for Christmas in 2018. I pray that your strong faith and happy memories will bring you some peace at this very sorrowful time. Sincerely, Wendy Case
