Thinking of you during this very sad time, we are so sorry to learn of Frank’s passing, may he now rest in peace. May the wonderful memories you made together as a family help you through the difficult days ahead. Words, however kind, can’t mend your heartache, but those who care & share your loss, wish you comfort & peace of mind. May you find strength in the love of family & in the warm embrace of friends. Frank was a generous, kind, caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, family guy with a big heart & a wonderful sense of humour that touched many lives with his friendship in Exeter & throughout the community. Clare & I have so many great memories of Frank from earlier years as co-workers at Dashwood Industries & then meeting up occasionally with both him & Mary during the retirement years.
Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. ~ Author Unknown ~

I did not have much contact with Frank during the years (1950-1971) I was growing up in Exeter and even less after I moved to London. I think the last time he and I had a conversation was at the Exeter Hawks 50th Anniversary event in 2010. But I have always felt that he and I had a connection that was very special to me.
When I was in Grade 1 at Exeter Public School in the mid 1950s the school had a Christmas tradition whereby kids in Grade 8 would give a gift to kids in Grade 1. Frank must have drawn my name. I will never forget the day he and the other Grade 8 kids came to our classroom. He walked over to where I was and handed me the gift he had obtained for me saying “Here Vic.” (Can’t get much more eloquent than that).
There was something about that experience that touched me deeply and I have never forgotten it. Alive or dead Frank Boyle will always have a special place in my heart
