After a difficult battle with cancer, Linda passed peacefully with her family by her side at Huron Residential Hospice, Clinton on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Wayne Hoegy for 40 years. Cherished mother of Scott and Lisa, Crystal and Neil, Chad and Sarah, Kassie and Chris, and Lindsay and Grant. Adored grandmother of Austin and Avery, Spencer; Dylan; Cohen, Ali, Brooklyn; and Baby Bolton, expected in September. Linda will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by the Neeb, and Hoegy family, and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Glen and Marg (Watson) Neeb and by her loving parents-in-law Lavern and Greta (Smith) Hoegy.
Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her beloved horses and her passion for raising and breeding beagles. Her enthusiasm for local fairs and craft shows was infectious. She was very proud of her prize winning homemade tarts and her intricately crafted quilts. Her out-of-the-box thinking and dedication to her craft were evident in every stitch of her quilts and her many exciting new ideas. She will be deeply missed for her creativity, her partnership with Wayne, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful home care nurses and staff who supported Linda while at home as well as the staff at Huron Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion provided during her stay.
As requested by Linda, a celebration of life will be held at the Brodhagen Community Centre, 6708 Perth County Line 44, Brodhagen on Sunday, March 17th from 2-5 PM. Cremation has taken place. In place of tears, please come to party.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Huron Residential Hospice or The Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford Perth – Trap Neuter Release Program would be appreciated by the family.

I’m so sorry for such a difficult loss to any famiy. I didn’t know Linda personally but I do know her daughter Lindsay. As Linda’s cousin (Watson side), I had planned to attend the Celebration of Life for her.
Unfortunately, I was unable to do so.
I wish to extend my condolences to Wayne and the family.
It was wonderful that Linda was well enough in the Fall of 2023 to travel with her sister, Patty, to “Cousins’ Day'” at Auntie Mil’s in Petrolia.
It was a memorial day for all of us.
Linda was loved and will always be remembered.

Dear Wayne and family:
Our deepest condolences in the loss of my dear cousin Linda. Linda was one of the most creative individuals I have ever known. She had a heart of gold and treated us so nice whenever we were in her presence. I will cherish our last visit with her reminiscing about when we were kids playing in the barn. Another day that was so memorable was when Caroline and I came to visit. We had a wonderful time with a horse drawn wagon ride, homemade lunch and got to see all the horses and Linda’s amazing quilts. You have so many beautiful memories of the time you shared with her. May God comfort you in your loss and know that we will be lifting you up in prayer.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. I enjoyed her as my boss and friend for many years. I worked with her at Clinton Hospital. I also enjoyed looking after her three small children when they were little, Brad, Chad, and Kassie. I admired her passion for all things crafty. I cannot imagine how difficult it would have been for her family to watch her suffer through her sickness. She will be missed by many. May you find peace and comfort in each other. My heart felt condolences go out to all of Linda’s family.
