Passed away peacefully at LHSC – Victoria Hospital after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of the late Lamphanh Phouttharath for 50 years. Proud father of eight beautiful children Maneerat, Malaythong, Kongkham, Thommasack, Phithaksinh, Pinpeta Gina, Jordan, and Tyrease. Honoured and loving grandfather of Carter, and Autumn.
Pong’s (aka Papa) life was a testament to the beauty of music, nature, and the bonds of family. His talent on the guitar and the traditional Lao instrument, the khaen, brought joy to all who heard him play. A man with a green thumb, Papa nurtured life in his gardens just as he did in his relationships. His love for building things reflected his dedication to creating a better world for those around him. With an infectious, charismatic energy and unwavering kindness, Papa touched countless lives. He is now joined with his wife in peace, forever cherished in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, July 18th from 6 – 8 PM.
