At Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, of Exeter in her 74th year. Dear wife and best friend of James Bell for 55 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Dave and Lenore Bell of Kitchener, Brenda Bell of London and Andrea and Dr. Kamel Alizadeh-Khiavi of Bluewater. Loving grandmother of Nathan, Eric, Owen Bell; and Kaleb and Hannah Alizadeh-Khiavi. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Kate and Jim Keys of Varna, Bill and Edith Falconer, Clinton, Donna Regier of Guelph, Roy and Joanne Bell of Hensall, and Bill and Bev Bell of Exeter. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant son Jeffery James; parents George and Bessie Falconer (Lindsay) of Brucefield, sister and brother- in-law Margaret and Harry Torrance, and brother-in-law Murray Bell.
iz worked for 27 years as Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Exeter, and was for one year President of the Clerks’ and Treasurers’ Association of Huron County and another year as President of Huron County Municipal Officers Association. She was Past President and Charter and Life Member of the Exeter Lioness Club. In retirement, she was a Board member of Town and Country Support Services (now One Care), and President of South Huron Hospital Auxiliary.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in Exeter Cemetery at a later date. There will be a Lioness service in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to ALS Society of Canada or South Huron Hospital Foundation.
