Peacefully and with dignity at the Exeter Villa with her family at her side on Sunday, March 18, 2007, Leola Ferne Stewart (nee Rodd) in her 85th year. Beloved wife of John (Jack) Stewart for 55 years. Loving and caring mother of Marlene Potter of Thunder Bay, Elaine and Pete Kosi of Coldstream, Murray and Cheryl Stewart of Beeton, Lori Lynn and Norm Lauzon of Timmins, and Cheryl and Brian Sullivan of Metcalfe. The light of her life were her precious 17 grandchildren who gave her much happiness and joy. Dear sister and sister-in-law of June Stewart of Usborne Twp., Ray and Marion Stewart of Sarnia and Margaret Stewart of Exeter. Predeceased by her infant daughter Maxine Anne, sister Audrey Passmore, brother Laverne Rodd, sister-in-law Barbara Rodd, and brothers-in-law Lorne Passmore, and Glen and Floyd Stewart. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 21st at 11 AM with Rev. Judith Ritchie officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Exeter Villa would be appreciated by the family.
