At South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Sunday, April 29, 2007 George A. McEwen of RR 2 Lucan in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Mabel A. (Tweddle) McEwen. Dear father of Marion and William Lumsden of RR 6 Strathroy, and Sheryl McEwen, Arlene McEwen and Ross McEwen all of RR 2 Lucan. Dear grandfather of Mary and David Smith of Walkerton, Barbara and Vincent Pelkman of London, Jean and Robert Abbott of Tilsonburg, Jim and Kim Lumsden of RR #6 Strathroy, Douglas and Beverley Lumsden of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Teresa Beets and Ken Wilde of Calgary, Alberta and Vincent Walter of Blyth. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a brother Donald (2005). Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 1st at 1:30 PM with Rev. Kathy Wreford officiating. Interment Mars Hill Cemetery, Brinsley. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or South Huron Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
