We should be there to celebrate Aunt Jo’s life and support you in her passing, however the weather conditions does not make that possible. Aunt Jo will be remembered as a ‘family’ person who would be there to support Clubb family celebrations if at all possible. In her later years, Joan was her chauffeur to these functions, often accompanied by Larry. I have great memories of Aunt Jo and she always had my respect and a place in my heart. The family has lost a link in the chain that holds us together. Be at peace Aunt Jo.

When you’ve loved and been loved by someone, nothing will take that away.
I was lucky enough to be her niece. Aunt Jo was a loving Aunt and Great Aunt to our children, and of course a big sister to Malcolm, our dad.
I always enjoyed the stories of her love for her little brother Malcolm… She was his hero. Which truly showed her loving spirit from the very start. From growing up and enjoying our times together, to the phone calls, to the cards, to the visits over the years, each became more precious. Aunt Jo made sure we knew our past and was so committed to sharing these stories and passing to her family the family history. Her beautiful photo albums, piecing together the past, rich in history and allowing us to know our roots.
Her last visit to Alberta two years ago was the high lite for my dad, as she was the surprise gift on his (her little brother’s) 80th birthday. The joy on that day, was beyond words. Thank you to Joan for making that trip possible!
Aunt Jo, was strong, kind and an example of love. She raised 5 incredible children, Stewart, Donald, Douglas, John, and her beautiful baby girl Joan. Now, all with accomplishments and families of their own, and a growing family she was so proud of. Rightfully so. I loved hearing the stories only a proud and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother could share, and always with so much passion.
Our visits were a wonderful chance to catch up on all. Her ability to weave us all together through distance was a gift in itself and one of love.
She truly lived a rich life- as the love she continued to give freely is returned through a growing family, and a family tree and legacy that continues to flourish.
This gift of love, is one she can trust will live on through her family.
She was an incredible lady, in so many ways. I will miss her “Alberta” visits.
Dear Stewart & Nancy and family; Don & Vicki and family; Doug & Janice and family; Joan & Larry, trust you are all in our hearts and our prayers hoping all of the beautiful memories and precious time spent together provides you the strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time. With our love and sympathy, on the loss of your dear mom, grandma, and great grandma.
