John Charles “Jack” Brintnell passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, March 22, 2006. Born in Biddulph Township December 4, 1919, John lived his 86 years to the fullest. He was a proud veteran and was always very active in the community. Deeply loved by his family, John will be greatly missed by his wife Edith, children Rodger, Jane Ann and Kathryn, brother Har, sisters Almira and Anita and many nieces and nephews. John was adored “Papa” to Amy, Jeff, Stephanie, Wes, David and Valentino. Predeceased by loving wife Marie (Ford) Brintnell, daughter Faye Forrester, parents Alvin and Irene, brothers Jim, Doug, Frank, sisters Madeline and Etta Mae, he will be missed by the Ford, Craig and Bowen families. Friends and relatives are welcome to share memories of John with the family on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter where the funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial donations are asked to consider the South Huron Hospital-Diagnostic Imaging PACS Project for equipment upgrade or the Exeter Legion. There will be a Legion service in the funeral home on Friday at 6:30 PM under the auspices of the R. E. Pooley Branch #167, Exeter.
