Rest in peace, sweet Fred. My family and I spoke with Fred about his interesting life, travels and family many times at the Exeter Villa when we were there visiting my great aunt. I admired his devotion to his wife, biking across town to spend the afternoon with her everyday- it was the sweetest thing. He was such a friendly man full of positive energy whenever we spoke. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. Wonderful photos- I loved seeing young, smiling Phyllis and Fred. Love, Katelyn, Betty and Joe O’Rourke

Oh Linda,
I was away and just got the news about your dad. I know you will miss him every day, but hold on to all your great memories. I am so happy I was able to meet him when he came into the office. What a “gentle man”. You were blessed to be his daughter.
Love, Tena

Linda and John, I am so sorry for the loss of your father but cannot help feel relief for Fred. He is now again with the Love of his life. It was an honor and a pleasure getting to know Fred and watch him care for his lovely wife, so dedicated and always optimistic they would share the life they once lived together. That time has come! He can now rest in peace with Phyllis and know that this is the only way he would have wanted it to be. Cherish the memories you created together, he has chosen his path and would want you to continue on yours. Your father has silently taught me some valuable lessons I will always cherish as well. Take care, Berni

Hi Linda and John
You have been very brave soldiers through this journey the last year and a half. No more pain, your Dad is free of suffering, joined your dear Mother and you were with him to the end – you’re amazing! Now the torch is yours and you will be a great ambassador for Nottingham and Exeter :)
Big hugs,
H
