Peacefully at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, Mary Elizabeth (Evans) McKenzie, formerly of Brussels, passed away in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Lewis McKenzie (1956). Dear mother of Veronica and Joe McQuaid of Clinton, Nancy McKenzie and Fred Mew of Huron Park, Gloria and Murray Taylor of R.R. 2 Hensall, June McKenzie of Hensall and the late Lyle McKenzie (1973). Loving grandmother of Kevin McQuaid, Michael McQuaid and Natasha Bouwmeister, Bryan McQuaid, Lori Taylor and Alex Zelem, Brittany Taylor and Jennifer Taylor. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Wilbert and Annabel (Forsythe) Evans, brothers Lyle and Harry Evans and her sister Margaret (Tom) Bernard.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. in McBeath’s, 79 King St., Hensall. Visitation from 12:30 until service time. Rev. Pirie Mitchell officiating. Spring interment Brussels Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
