Peacefully, at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, on Friday, June 17, 2005, Helen Elizabeth (Rumball) Anderson, of Hensall, formerly of Stanley Township, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John (1987) and son-in-law Dan (1993). Helen was a loving mother to her children Kathryn and Doug Mann of Hensall, Keith and Ann Anderson of London and Debbie Anderson of King City. She will always be in the hearts of her grandchildren Brad and Sue, Vicki and Dave, Tim and Elaine, Aimee and Eugene and Laura and Phil. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Kyle, Bryce, Mackenzie, Jacob, Colin, Rachel and Bryan. Dear sister-in-law of Doreen Anderson. Helen is also remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Helen was a determined woman whose grace and strength was an inspiration to her family and those who knew her. She never gave up in spite of significant challenges. She greeted everyone with her gentle smile and never complained. For 9 years, she lived at Queensway and during that time she received exemplary and compassionate care. Helen loved the staff that cared for her, the volunteers who visited her, her roommate Ida Dickert and her fellow residents. The family will always be grateful to Queensway for ensuring that Helen lived her life with dignity.
Visitation in the Hensall Visitation Chapel, 79 King St. on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Marybeth Wilson officiating. Interment Baird’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kippen United Church or Queensway Nursing Home Activation Department .
