It is with great sadness that we the family of Theo Bet Sr. announce his passing on September 28, 2012 at University Hospital, London while surrounded by his son Theo Bet, daughter-in-law Mary Bet and stepsons Mike and Paul Casey. Theo fought courageously for his life. He was born in Holland on August 11, 1929 and brought his family to Canada in 1966. He worked at Lambton Generating Station in Courtright until he retired and took up full time golfing. He is survived by his wife Agnes (Angie), sons Theo (Mary) of Sarnia and Rudy (Kathy) of Holt, Michigan and his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Angies family Mike (Carol) Casey of Sarnia, Paul (Sue) Casey of Guelph, Barb (Jack) Spiers of grand Bend, Wayne (Maureen) Casey of Perry Sound and their families. Sadly missed by his good friend Audrey McDonald and sisters Elly and Hennie in Holland. Predeceased by his first wife Catherina “Tina” (1976), 1 brother and 4 sisters. Cremation.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich with visitation 1 hr prior to service time. Fr. Graham Keep officiating. Interment Mooretown Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich.
