Doris E. (Armitage) Eickmeier BHSC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Exetendicare, London. Beloved wife of Dr. Bruce Eickmeier of London. Sadly missed by her two sons Ronald and Nancy of Brantford and Robert and Marisa of Waterdown and her six grandchildren. Survived by her brother Dr. John Armitage and Helga of Hamilton. She was born in Wingham, Ont and after graduating from the University of Toronto, “Dodie” accepted a position as a dietician at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Her family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and volunteers for their kindness, care and compassion shown to Doris over the past number of months.
Cremation. There will be no visitation. A private family service will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. North, Zurich. Inurnment St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Zurich, Ont.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Steeple Fund or CNIB.
