Condolence From: Larry Pfaff
Margaret Elliott was born and lived her entire life on the farm in Stanley Township, settled by her Scottish great-grandfather William Lamont in 1840. She noted with interest how his descendants grew up, moved away, and eventually lived all over the continent. An only child she had a life-long closeness with her cousins Allan and Bill Braun, Barbara Postian, and Marjorie Pfaff — all of whom enjoyed happy summer childhood visits with her on the family farm. She inherited the gentleness and sweetness of her parents Roy and Jessie Lamont. She was quietly proud of the accomplishments of her children and her grandchildren. She was also a devoted member of her church. Her family, friends, and extended family will always remember her kindness, her generosity, and her genuine welcoming interest in them.
