Dear Farwell Family, I was deeply saddened to hear the news of John’s passing. He was a most loving, intellectual, gentle, caring person and a dear friend. We spent three years together during our undergraduate years at the University of Ottawa, the third of which he worked at the Sudbury Theatre Center, and then a fourth living in Toronto before he moved West. I feel blessed to have had him as a part of my life then and to have made contact briefly, earlier this year, after such a long time. He always had such pride in what a large, supportive, loving family he has. I wish all of you strength and peace at such a difficult time. He will live on in the memories we all have of him and the things we have learnt by having him in our lives. Erica Parks (Heyland) Toronto, ON
