My dear “canning buddy”, Alice!
I am thankful for her skills, stories and company during apple sauce, rhubarb, peach and tomato season. It was all I could ever do to keep ahead of her canning those peaches as she peeled them.
She’d would always start a piece of advice with “well it is YOUR kitchen but this is how I would do that …”
I have some of Alice’s rhubarb from her patch in my patch so fond thoughts always come to mind when I am picking – of her help, her friendship, and especially her love for our family! ~

Remembering in prayer the Gascho family, the Foreman family, the Gingrich Family at the loss of a dear mother grand mother and great grandmother. Gramma your potato salad was the best ever. Your slippers kept many of us cozy warm and your smile would light up the room you were in. Thank you for all the wonderful memories we have shared over the years. You are loved and will be greatly missed. Precious are you in Father’s sight. Rest now from your labor of love. Well done you were a good and faithful servant for 94 years. HUGS. Brenda and Jim
