I am truly sorry for your loss. Many a day I spent hours talking Dorothy’s ear off when she lived next to me in Ennismore. She was a welcome addition to the neighbourhood and the curling club. She spoiled my day care kids and my family with her baking, and she always had a smile and time to chat with the the little ones running around my yard. I visited with her several times when she moved to Lang, but lost touch with her when she moved west. So sorry to see the Examiner ad today. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Jan

I first met Dorothy at our cottage near Bobcaygeon and then when she & John moved to Keene and ran the Serpent Mounds in I was their to share in all of the fun.
I visited Exeter with her mom & dad & went to my first horse race…. fun
Dorothy she was the best and I will miss her dearly.
As Colleen said, Dorothy was known for miles for her yummy baking.
Please feel free to contact me, I have been trying to reach her for the last few weeks, :(

I remember Dorothy fondly from when she was the owner of the Serpent Mounds Inn in Keene and I worked for her. I especially loved her butter tarts. They were the best!

We read, with sadness, in the Peterborough Examiner, that Dorothy had passed away. Our friendship with John and Dorothy gives us fond memories of the enjoyable times we had when we lived across the street from their store in Keene. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dorothy’s family at this time…God Bless!

Bob and Mary,
So sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing.I will miss my visits to her and talking to her on the phone. She always joked and thought that she was being a “pest” when she asked me to bring her stuff.I always told her that I didn’t mind and I really was being truthful…I didn’t mind.
I will miss her.
