So sad to hear of Miss Shoebottom’s passing. My passion for teaching was formed in her Grade Two/Three classroom! Having taught two generations of my family, we all have such positive memories of her. There is a special place in heaven for teachers of her calibre!

Sheila was one of those co-workers you can only dream of
having – full of fun, made those around her better, and truly one of the most giving to all she met. To which Sheila would say ‘ Don’t be so silly’. So sorry for your family.

Sheila was an amazing lady. Our family has fond memories of her in a lot of roles, as a teacher (she was the best so my daugther tells me – her favourite) as a neighbour and a friend too. She always had a listening ear and a hand to lend.
May God bless all of you during this difficult time.

We were saddened to hear of Sheila’s passing. I enjoyed several years of teaching with Sheila at Oxbow. Sheila was loved by everyone. She was full of enthusiasm and treated each child with love. Sheila was a very dedicated teacher and many Oxbow students had the wonderful experience of being in Miss Shoebottom’s class through the years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Bob. Sheila will be missed. She was a very special lady! Treasure the memories!

Miss Shoebottom was my Grade 2 Teacher. She had a positive impact on many children from Oxbow. “It takes a village to raise a child” and Shiela was a staple in the community, always available to assist in anyway she could.
She will be missed, but always cherished!!
