Sherry Dawn (Steinhoff) Hooper. Most perfectly loved daughter of Carol Jane (Highley) Steinhoff and the late Richard William Steinhoff (July 2, 2006). I was born April 13, 1964 at Woodstock GeneralHospital and died May 27, 2013 at my home in Exeter. The most amazing and fulfilling day of my life was the day I fell in love with my husband Danny Raymond Hooper, who lived in Ingersoll. When I was told of my illness, my loyal, devoted husband changed his life and became my care-giver, full-time. To every vow we took on our wedding day, he fulfilled to the fullest extent. Unfortunately, till the end…”Till death do us part”. I loved you for that, baby. What more could I have been blessed with? I was given life; life itself to watch, grow and blossom with: my daughter, Diana Lynn Hooper (Dan) of Kirkton and grandchildren Amber, Brady, Savannah, Emma and great-grandson Rhylee; my son Jason Scott Hooper (Nicole) of Centralia and grandchildren, twin boys Aidan and Kurt; my son Danial William Hooper (Natasha) and grandchildren Drayden, Felicity, Jasmyn and Carter; and my daughter Elyssa Jane Jenice Hooper (Adam) of Exeter and grandchild Alyvia Sherry Ellen. I have one younger sister Janet Michelle (Steinhoff) Briggs of Woodstock and a nephew Jordan and niece Chloe. My grandparents blessed me with many aunts, uncles and cousins that were a big part of my life. When Dan and I joined our lives together, I was taken in by 2 more parents, Mac and Janice Hooper of Kirkton. They were not only wonderful parents, but also our maid of honour and best man on July 8, 1989. Dan has 7 brothers and sisters which made life full of love and included more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a private family gathering with close friends on Sunday, June 9th at 1 PM at 252 Marlborough Street, Exeter.
Although there are many wonderful organizations that can be donated to at a time like this, it is my wish that in lieu of flowers or donations, you use that money to go out for a meal or get together with your family members and friends and enjoy an occasion together. Make memories, have fun, share your thoughts, dreams and goals. But most of all, talk and always say those words, never-ever-said-enough…”I love you”. They are words that you never outgrow saying or needing to hear.

Elyssa,
I am so so very sorry and sad to hear about the passing of your mother. Please accept my sincere condolences to you, your dad and the rest of your family. From what I remember your mom was such a sweet, kind, caring woman. It was always such a joy to be at your parents place and spend time with your mom and dad. The laughs we had are always memories I hold close of our friendship over the years. It is my hope your mom is now at peace and will continue to watch over you and your beautiful family. Let the memories and your mothers love guide you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. All my love to you and your family XOXO
