It was over 55 years ago when this “city girl” moved to a farm on the Townline. What a wonderful happenstance for our Scott family that our closest neighbours were the Abbotts. Marion and Art were so welcoming and introduced us to their friends and included us in the activities of the area. That we had children the same age as theirs, seemed a fortune too good to be true. I always admired Marion’s calm presence and saw how thoughtfully she was able to guide her children. We remained in touch over the years and I will miss hearing her voice on the telephone. I will remember Marion for her warmth and kindness. To all the Abbott family we send our love and condolences.
Olga McIntyre
Cherished sister to her late brother Bill and loving Sister -in-Law and Aunt, Marion had a special quality that was admired by many.
Although we lived miles apart we continued to stay in touch and I always appreciated Marion’s updates of the McIntyre family news.
She has left behind many fond memories of her and Arts visits to Winnipeg and I have many pleasant recollections of our adventures during their visits.
Dear Muriel, Cate, Wesley , Carol and your families I know you will miss your Mom’s guidance and love but I am sure she will be walking beside you everyday.
Our heartfelt condolences to everyone.

I had the pleasure of having a few short conversations with your mom over the past few days. It warms my heart to see she has carried her beautiful smile from the days she taught me in grade school, right to the very end. ( she was one of my favourite teachers). I will be thinking of you and yours as you journey on without her. Please except my heartfelt condolences.

To all of Marion Abbott’s Family . . .
“Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”
I am sending my heartfelt sympathies to you at this difficult time as you say good-bye & mourn the loss of an especially important lady in your lives. Marion was such a lovely person, always smiling, cheerful, kind-hearted, sincere, hard-working, just a remarkable woman who along with your dad, Art raised a wonderful family. I have so many great memories of both your parents from earlier years of when Art & your mom had standardbred horses boarded at my late parent’s farm (Jack & Marion Parsons Stables) just outside of Exeter & also at the local standardbred races. I remember them as a happy, fun-loving couple. It is always hard to see our once lively parents age & eventually leave this world behind – but know they are reunited in Heaven forever. Speaking on behalf of myself & my siblings of the Parsons family – we are going to miss Marion & Art – but we will treasure our favourite memories. We will be keeping your entire family in our thoughts and prayers. May the loving memories you have of your parents live on – in your hearts forever & help you through the difficult days ahead. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
I wish you strength & love from those who surround you as you walk these next few months.
With deepest sympathy – I will be thinking & praying for you as you mourn & celebrate your beautiful Mom – HUGS to all! ❤️🙏🏻❤️

Muriel, Wes, Catharine, Carol and families;
Please accept our deepest sympathy at your loss. I first got to know your mother as a teacher. She worked in the school in Lucan from time to time and I remember a night of a Christmas concert where I got ill and she had to take over my class for the night. What a life saver she was that night. She was always so reliable, so self assured, so comfortable in any situation. She hosted a shower for me also when we were expecting our first child. What a kind and thoughtful gesture that was. Marion always arrived at least 15 minutes early for church, sometimes earlier. She said it was the best time to meditate, to think, to just be still and feel the presence of God. I did miss seeing Marion when she moved to London but we would chat on the phone occasionally, but of course never as often as we should have. I know her presence will be missed in your lives. She was always so proud of her family and her grandchildren. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
