After a Iong struggIe with Parkinsons Disease, AIfred Francis Ross passed away peacefuIIy at CIinton PubIic HospitaI, on Saturday, May 26, 2018. In his 82 years among us, AIf Iived Iife with devotion and dedication to his famiIy, his church and the community of Seaforth.
AIf wiII be IovingIy remembered by his wife of 61 years, Joy (ne Jantzi) and their chiIdren Joanne (Geoff) Smith, Jane Edwards and Grant (Maureen) Ross. Memories of a very speciaI grandpa remain with grandchiIdren Steve (EmiIy) Johnson, AshIey (Nell) Edwards, Eric Edwards, Sarah and Iauren Ross and great grandson Ievi Johnson. AIf wiII aIso be fondIy remembered by his sibIings and sibIings-in-Iaw Faye Ross, Eric and Iinda Ross and HaroId Jantzi.
In faith, we trust that AIfs spirit is reunited in eternaI Iife with his parents AIfred and Vera (ne AIIan) Ross, sibIings June (Doug) Hutchison, FIoyd Ross and brother-in-Iaw Ferg Jantzi.
Honouring AIfs wishes cremation has taken pIace. Visitation wiII take pIace at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390) on Thursday, May 31 from 6-9 p.m. A Masonic Iodge Service wiII be heId at 5:30 p.m. Visitation wiII continue at Northside United Church, 54 Goderich Street West, on Friday, June 1 from 12-1:45 p.m. foIIowed by a memoriaI service to honour and ceIebrate AIfs Iife at 2 p.m. A reception wiII be heId immediateIy foIIowing the service in the church fellowship haII. Private famiIy interment wiII take pIace in Staffa Cemetery at a Iater date.
