Peacefully at Jessica’s House, Exeter on Saturday, April 30, 2022 of Grand Bend formerly of Toronto at the age of 66. Cherished wife and best friend of Mark Argent for 40 years. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Tony and Louella Difrancesco, Paul and Heather Argent, Julie and Steve Volkmann, and Tracey and Brian Gamsby. Beloved daughter-in-law of Peter Argent. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Lena DiFrancescantonio.
Lia loved to swim, so it was only right she retired to Grand Bend where she could be near Lake Huron. Together, she and Mark loved to travel to various places. Through retirement, you could find Lia at the Grand Bend Sobeys, serving customers with her warm energy and smiling face.
Keeping with Lia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Remember Lia by wearing the colour blue, sharing a good joke with a friend or when you see a butterfly pass by.
Donations to Jessica’s House or the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

To the loved ones of Lia…Sincere Sympathy. Lia was a lovely cashier at Sobeys, always smiling & helpful. I missed our chats when Covid hit. My husband became our shopper & he commented how she was cheerful too. Cherish your wonderful memories.

Mark and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss and so sad. Lia was an amazing person and a true friend to me. We shared a love for good food (only the best), Italy, and laughter. Her stories about her younger days and being in Italy were the funniest. I will always treasure those talks and our Monday Nights together. I adored and loved Lia and will miss her greatly as she meant the world to me.
