I worked with Wendy at Heinz. I will always remember the many conversations we had. She had a great deal of knowledge on many topics, down to earth views and opinions. She shared many of her life experiences with me and her most treasured moments were Harry and their families. She was a warm, compassionate woman who was not afraid to tackle whatever tickled her fancy.
I am truly saddened to hear of her passing, far too soon! Please share my heartfelt condolences with all those who feel her loss today 💕

From the first time we met Wendy, we immediately saw what a down to earth, friendly and approachable person she was. Harry you are the same way, and it’s a good bet this is the reason why you and Wen ”fit like a glove” when it came to your relationship. In the past few days through your online posts and the outpouring of love and moral support from friends, neighbours, and relatives, it is glaringly obvious that Wendy’s friendship meant the world to so many! The days ahead of you will be hard, but know that you have tons of friends who care, are thinking of you, and will support you in whatever way they can. Wendy will have a special place in our hearts. Hugs xoxo

I knew Wendy from Powell River BC. We worked in a few different restaurants together but the highlight was the years we spent working at the Sea House with our other best buddy Glenda. The three of us rocked that dining room and bar and had a blast doing it. The three amigos, the three musketeers – we could hold our own against the onslaught of tourists, make ’em laugh and laugh while we ran up and down stairs getting drinks. We had a ton of fun after work too, we’d cross the street to the Zoo and party it up. Those are the only two girls – to this day – that have got me up singing karaoke. The shits n giggles we had….. I only saw Wen a couple of times after she left BC but we stayed in touch and I was so happy to hear that she found Harry and was just so perfectly content in her life for the last two decades. My condolences to Harry and all the family. Wendy was one of a kind. I’ll miss her lots and I’ll remember her always. Cheers darlin’ – save me a seat. xoxo
