Sharon and family,
We’re so sorry for your loss. I don’t know how we’ll ever keep up with our leaves without Brokie being out across the street, picking yours up and putting us to shame! He was a pillar of the community and also a guidepost; I don’t know how many times I’ve said “we live across the street from Brokie”. I’m sorry we weren’t more neighborly in our coming-from-the-city-shyness but know he left an indelible mark on us. Our condolences!

Brokie, as I knew him for the last 66 years, was my Pal and best friend. We hunted and fished together from the time we were kids. As we grew older and had families, we visited back and forth and the bond between us deepened. My girls and his girls were like sisters and got along well together. Our card games were hotly contested between ‘the guys’ and ‘the girls’ well into the night.
Diane and I , Stacy and Bonnie and their families will miss him greatly, and we will miss the Brokenshire yearly visits to our Homestead lodge for some needed R&R.
God Bless Sharon and her entire family. Our Love to all ofyou!
