Dear Carol – We just learned of Don Brooks passing today (Dec 3, 2021). So sorry for your loss. I was looking forward to another fun conversation with Don on the phone – which had become our annual tradition about this time as I made a play to recruit him for our Board of Directors. Definitely miss his insight and humour! Gone but not forgotten and definitely remembered fondly. Regards, Susan Mills on behalf of the Grand Bend & Area Chamber of Commerce.

To the Brooks family I am so sorry for your loss. My childhood memories of me, my Dad, and brother dirt biking in all kinds of new unexplored places with Don and his boys leading the way. I know Don was an inspiration to my Dad ( john Gaudio) and through that was an inspiration to me. He was always larger than life I remember. He always had the coolest toys and the biggest smile !
Have a cold one with Dad and the boys and get back to shop talk Don.
Thanks for being truly one of a kind and someone I always looked up to.

Hi Carol and so sorry, please know we send our love & prayers.
Don was always there when you needed help, it was always how are you “buddy”. It seems like just yesterday we were having a slice of pizza out back or testing the carts on a visit to great neighbors – but at the same time this also feels so far away now. Loved that big smile when you would see him – thanks Don.
Our deepest condolences to you and your family. You are all in our prayers.

This is such sad news, my condolences to the entire family. I have some great memories with Don and his family. Don was brilliant, he could take an idea and make it work, no matter what it was!! He taught me automotive in high school when he was supply teaching, I hung out with his son Shawn, he hired me as an apprentice at Motion, we worked together promoting the track at times, he was a huge supporter of my racing, and most of all he would listen intently if I asked him for help or an opinion. He will be truly missed..
Thank you for the memories!!!
RIP Don

Carol, Carey & Extended Family,
May the race in the sky keep the smile on his face as he watches over us all. I am forever grateful for uncle Don’s presence in my life. Not only did he put me hands on into race world at GBMP giving me opportunity to earn and play, but kept it in my veins by allowing me the opportunity to attend different race events with him. Far beyond that he always gave me someone to look up to and admire. While the loss sucks, I am and will forever be so very happy and thankful he touched my life. May your laps now be run full throttle and cautionless Uncle Don you’ve earned the checkered flag over and over.
