Was there ever a more lovely woman? We had so many pre-service chats at Emmanuel. I loved witnessing her peace in the LORD, hearing of her love for her family and seeing her gracious acceptance of every person who crossed her path. What an example she has been to me. What a source of strength Gladys has been as I walk this+ path with Christ, He allowing me to listen to her wise words, giving me the blessing of hearing her gentle voice. I will miss her, but I know without a doubt she is now in the arms of Jesus.
Blessings, Jo-Anne Hodgins
Gladys was a wonderful prayer warrior. She served her Lord well in this life and has now entered into eternity in

Dear Pearl, Bob, Jean & Murray and family;
Please accept our deepest sympathy at your loss. Gladys was a sweet, kind, wonderful lady, full of love and laughter. I remember meeting her shortly after she arrived from England at the family Christmas and thinking how shy she was, how funny she spoke and how lucky Melville was! Over the years we got to know her and her ways better and realized what a delight she was. She had quite a story to tell as well – her younger years, her war years, her time coming to Canada, her years as a farm wife, managing a home for two brothers, raising two little girls, and so on. I got to know Gladys further while she attended church and the UCW. She enjoyed her times with the ladies and her strong beliefs helped herself, as well as others through many tough times. I also had the privilege of spending time with Gladys at Coffee Break for a few years. Once again her beliefs and her strong faith shone out to all of us. She was a truly dedicated person to her family, her church, and her faith. It was a privilege to know her. God has blessed your family with a wonderful legacy.
