Ray, Ming, and Sue. I have so many fond memories of your family from my childhood. I always remember Wayne either working so hard all the time at the restaurant or taking us kids on hilarious fishing adventures. The time my Dad and Wayne went to Toronto with Ray and I in tow, then ending up in Chinatown for a great meal still makes me laugh. My Dad was so nervous driving home in Wayne’s Cadillac while he snoozed in the passenger seat. Good times. So sorry for your loss. He was a great guy.

Wendy (Weido) Fenton
I was so sad to hear this news. We lived down the street and it was a regular thing for him to call out that he had freezies or popsicles that the kids would run up to get at the back door of the restaurant. I think Wayne bought and distributed more freezies and popsicles to the neighbourhood kids than the store did! He always thought about us and was a lot of fun.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Wayne’s passing. I worked for Wayne and Susie for 5 years in my and in that time, (though I have known them my whole life) they grew to feel like family. The love and care and support they both gave me showed what truly remarkable people they are. Wayne will be missed by many, including myself. Most of my cooking skill comes from all the things he taught me in that restaurant kitchen! I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him. My thoughts are with his family during this time.
