Dear Murray Family,
Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the passing of your beautiful daughter and sister Clare. I am a former teacher of Jeanne Sauve School and although I did not have the opportunity to teach Clare I do remember she was a wonderful, intelligent student with a bright smile. Our paths crossed again two years ago when she came to my home to tutor my daughter, Jillian after she experienced a brain injury. Her support helped her through a very difficult time by helping her with school. Clare always had a way of cheering Jillian up by taking her for lunch, pedicures and just being a good listener. Her kindness will never be forgotten!

Please accept my most sincere condolences on your loss. I met Clare when she was making the rounds of the Stratford law firms, letter prefect resumes in hand. I was immediately struck by her warmth and presence (and wonderful height!). I was honoured to have a mentoring relationship with her as she navigated the start of her career. She was brave and courageous and sadly lost to an entire community that was better for having her with us. I am so deeply sorry for your loss, and wish her peace and Godspeed.
Kathleen (Ryan) vonEuw

Dear Connie and family, We are so deeply sorry to hear about Clare. Pat is reflecting on what a loving, happy family she was so lucky to be part of; remembering many a day when Arthur took the time to play soccer with all the kids before going back to the hay. Cherished memories for you all to focus on at this time. We were so thrilled to have Clare take time to tutor our daughter Morgan and she was so helpful but more importantly became a mentor to Morgan encouraging her and making her feel competent!! She was just an amazing presence and that we will always remember. Our prayers are with you and all of your family. Sincerely, Pat, Joanne, Brittany, Cassidy, Morgan

Payam Akhavan, Professor at McGill University Faculty of Law
Clare was my student at the McGill law faculty and she kept in contact over the years as she pursued her career. She was a thoughtful and sensitive person with great promise. She wrote to me earlier this year for a letter of reference for a human rights position in Jerusalem. I am deeply saddened to hear about her sudden passing and express heartfelt sympathies to her family and loved ones. I know that she touched the lives of her classmates and teachers and we all pray for her precious soul.
Daniel Jutras, Dean of Law, McGill University

Natai Shelsen
Dear Murray family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I am praying that God will carry you and give you strength during this difficult time. I remember Clare speaking about her family all the time – she loved you so much, and she knew how much you all loved her.
Clare was such a special person and I am honoured to have known her – she was warm, kind, generous, fun-loving and free-spirited. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. We used to stay up till all hours of the night talking about everything imaginable – that was part of her charm. We had so much fun together during law school, and she is a part of so many of my best memories. I will never forget her contagious enthusiasm, her wide smile and the sound of her laugh.
My prayers are with you.
Natai
