To Richard and family, so sorry to hear of Ann’s passing . I have very fond memories of her from my childhood and she always encouraged me to be a bit more adventurous . I remember her helping Carolyn and I build a huge sand castle on the beach on Anglesey and then we all stood on it while the tide came in around us! (I was six at the time ). I remember being v upset when you all went to Canada. Thinking of you all. With deepest sympathy from June and family

To Richard and family, your mother Ann had a great impact on me as a child and young teenager. She brought such joie de vive into a rather buttoned up family. I learned from her. My sister June and I spent a memorable holiday with her, your father and late brother with our grandparents. We were being cared for during the imminent arrival of our brother Brian. I remember walks with Ann who showed us lots of wildflowers, she talked a lot about her work in nursing and her schooldays. And we, June and I were so proud and excited to be bridesmaids at your parents’ wedding . You will see us as 2 round faced little girls with our cousin Sheila. I adored the floral headband we wore. I hope you will find lots of comforting insights into her life from responses to her death. You are all in our thoughts, Carolyn & Colin
Claudia & Neil Carver
Dear Richard and family – Claudia and I send our love along with the following message which I have had inscribed in my Prayer Book for over these past forty years. Ann, a true friend and fellow pilgrim, has left us these words which encouraged her and which comfort all who give thanks for her life and witness –
“Do not be afraid of living life,
With its joy and sorrow, love and pain,
For our Lord knew these companions along the Way.
So enter the garden of life and walk with them
In the light of day and darkness of night.
Do not be fearful when twilight falls precipitating the night.
Remember, remember,
Should you in the darkness think Him lost,
He will not let you go.
For in the stillness of night
Silence continues in silence
And His gifts of true love, peace, truth and courage are found.”
