My family and I were next door neighbours to the Crone’s when Maurice and his family lived on what is now Sixteen Mile Rd. Maurice several times gave me a ride to the city when I was going to Teacher’s College and had early morning classes. I remember vividly trudging through very deep snow in the dark to get to his place on more than one occasion. His kindness was much appreciated. My sympathy to each of you at this difficult time.

Dear, sweet Marjorie Johnnie and I send our sincere sympathy. We were so very, very sorry to hear of Maurice’s passing. It is so wonderful to have the memories of your trips to Saskatchewan. Your desire for Maurice to see the Rockies in all their magnificence and to be able to accompany you was a trip to remember. Have tried to call your number several times but unable to reach you. Marjorie if you have a new number would to hear from you. We will be thinking of you and send our love.

Marjorie and Family,
Please accept our sympathy regarding the passing of Maurice. We met him in 1968 when we moved in “next door” on Concession 14, London Township. Over the years we had many enjoyable interactions but my favourite was building a driveshed together on Mom & Dad’s place, in 1983. I’ll use that as my permanent memory. Maurice was a fine man and a good neighbour to have.

I am so shocked and sorry to hear of Maurice’s passing. What a wonderful neighbour he was to my late spouse George, and to me. He was always ready to offer support and a smile, or a friendly wave and chuckle with one of his stories. My heart goes out to his beloved wife Marjorie, his family and close friends. With sincere sympathy.
