To the Dann family – We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful father, Gordon. He was a man with an incredible memory, and always had a historical story to tell. Young for his years, he worked way past retirement age,
enjoying the plumbing business. We enjoyed chatting with him whenever we met, as he always had lots of time to talk. Our community has lost an interesting man, a friend to all. Cherish your memories of your Dad to help carry you through this difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathy to each of you.

My sincere sympathy to Russel and the Dann family. I have known Gord from by days back at Pumps and Softeners in London in the 70’s and although our relationship was business related, I considered him a friend. He was always willing and able to take time to tell a story or two which I thoroughly enjoyed every time. He was a great man and he will be missed. He was one of a kind.

I’ve only known Gordon for a few years but somehow felt I’d spent many years as his acquaintance. He was a great conversationalist who always found a common connection through a job, an event, or a mutual friend. I will miss our phone conversations.

I’am sorry to hear about the loss of your dear loved one.
I knew him for 38 years as my neighbor.
Over the past years I had to call Gordan many times to fix my plumbing.

Having just seen Gord and Russell for lunch on Wednesday, we were quite taken aback when Margaret and Stewart came in to let us know that Gord had passed away on the 10th. Gord’s weekly visits were the highlight of our day when he and Russell came in for lunch. He had a smile that lit up the room. That mischievous twinkle in those bright blue eyes when he regaled us with stories and experiences in his life.
Lunch time at The King Edward will never be the same. Thank you for sharing your father with us. Gord was truly a remarkable man who will be missed always. One more hug for old time sake Gord. Love Deborah, Rich and Tyler and all the staff past and present.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Only once I had the honor of meeting Gordon, on a special day. Exploring my family’s roots in Canada became extra special to us when Gorden, a good friend of my grandparents, shared his dear memories with us during our visit. “Cold hands, warm heart” he said, when he shook my hand. Somehow, I have never forgotten that sentence. Fingerprints never fade from the lives they touch, apparently.

Gordon was one of my favorite customers at the King Eddy eight years ago. I loved to look after him, and bring him his hot chocolate with whipped cream. Recently my own mother’s passing brought me back into the neighborhood and back into service at the King Eddy. I was so happy to see him again, and so happy to have the opportunity to serve him. He was always the kindest soul with a smile and a great appreciation for his experience at the Eddy. I wish the family and friends nothing but comfort and the healing that comes from cherished memories. Many hugs to all.
